A luminous sentinel in miniature, the Citadel Table Light rises from a fluted base into a grid-crowned summit, echoing the silhouette of a celestial watchtower. Its central column, composed of rhythmically profiled vertical planes, stretches skyward with quiet monumentality. At its peak, a cantilevered grid structure evokes the elevated calm of an observation deck—an architectural gesture overlooking a landscape of serenity.
Crafted in translucent PLA, the light reveals a hypnotic interplay between geometry and glow. As light filters through its layered structure, it generates a meditative gradient—softly fractal, subtly shifting—transforming the object into an ethereal beacon. Both functional and sculptural, the Citadel Table Light invites stillness, contemplation, and wonder.
The table light is part of four in the titled collection. It draws upon the rich tapestry of Chinese mythology, specifically the celestial realm known as the Heavenly Palace (天宫) — a divine citadel presided over by the Jade Emperor, ruler of the heavens.
The series reimagines this mythic landscape through four illuminated objects, each envisioned as a sacred bastion suspended in the sky.
